Tasting Notes

Christian Dauriac fashions this full-bodied, borderline rustic Pomerol that displays masculine/virile, concentrated fruit, abundant tannin, a liqueur of minerality, and extravagant quantities of creme de cassis, plums, and figs. This ripe, modern-styled Pomerol should drink well for 15+ years. (90+ Points)

Mineral, leather and berry aromas lead to a full body, with round tannins and a long finish. Chewy. A big wine. Best after 2012.

3ha total and six different disparate parcels. Very sweet, opulent nose. Almost gamey - certainly very fleshy. Perhaps this approach works well for the rather meagre 2006 vintage: to make the most of every ounce of fruit? Very slightly tarty but should deliver lots of hedonistic pleasure.
