Tasting Notes

Tasted in June 2011. This small estate in Margaux is one of Bordeaux's best-kept secrets, and back vintages are very hard to find. The 2010 is a real jewel and reasonably priced. Open and fragrant with notes blackberries and cream. In the mouth it is ripe, with plump black fruit and plenty of density in the middle. Silken texture and tannins , with a good long, fresh finish. Very smooth. Classed Growth Margaux and at this price, incredible value. Packed in cases of 4 bottles.

Score: 91 - 93

Albany Vintners, - 01 June 2011

Crushed black fruits dominating impressive fleshy richness, the Cabernets contributing to the very long finish.

A bright, up-front style, with a core of bouncy linzer torte, cassis and cherry preserves pushed by licorice and spice. Not superlong, but stays fresh enough.

Score: 89 - 92
