I was looking for more expression and personality on the nose of the Carbonnieux Blanc, though with time it tempts you with intriguing notes of walnut and lanolin. The palate is lively on the entry with touches of bruised apple and pear, whilst the finish demonstrates fine cohesion. This is a very respectable Bordeaux Blanc. Score: 90 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com 01 March 2013 |

The Carbonnieux Blanc has a certain strictness and linearity on the nose but opens nicely with crisp green apple, citrus peel and a touch of grass cuttings. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry with delicate touches of white peach and dried pineapple, demonstrating good tension and persistency on the finish. This is an admirable Carbonnieux Blanc that should age well over a decade. Tasted April 2011. Score: 91 - 93 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com 22 April 2011 |

Pale greyish green. Smoky, Sauvignon aromas with an undertow of medium body. Bone-dry finish. Does the business though without that much élan. Sleek and very refreshing and readable. Oak very discreet. Needs time perhaps? Still quite astringent. Score: 16 - 17 Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com Maturity: 2014-2020 11 April 2011 |

Rounded and inviting, with hints of pear and apple giving way to more citrus, floral and straw notes. This has good range, with a brisk edge waiting in the wings on the finish. Score: 89 - 92 James Molesworth, Wine Spectator 05 April 2011 |

Fine lifted lemony fruit, a lovely expression of the northern Graves, florality, fruit and acidity all in balance. Score: 17 Decanter, Decanter.com Maturity: 2012-2016 01 April 2011 |
