Fine elegance of Margaux on the nose. Good depth of smooth fruit. Tannins are still there but will act as back up for the future. Lovely texture, lots of concentration and well-handled acidity. 16.88pts/20 Score: 16 - 17 Decanter, Decanter.com Maturity: 2014-2022 01 January 2012 |

Although closed at present, the potentially outstanding 2008 exhibits a deep plum/purple color, elevated tannins and a more masculine style than most vintages. Good weight and purity along with hints of licorice, underbrush, black currants and subtle smoky oak are found in this firm effort. Give it 4-5 years of bottle age, and drink it over the following 15+. (89+) Score: 89 Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2015-2030 03 May 2011 |
