Firm, earthy, cedary, herbal, truffle, forest floor, black cherry, and black currant notes are present in this soft, round Pauillac. It is meant to be consumed over the next decade. (86+ Points) Score: 86 Robert Parker, Wine Advocate Maturity: 2010-2020 |

A very light red, with some berry character, slightly austere tannins and a delicate finish. Drink now. 20,000 cases made. Score: 83 James Suckling, Wine Spectator |

A little pale. Attractive meat extract notes on the nose. Some freshness and a hint of tealeaf though not desperately concentrated. Quite round and fades a lttle fast. A bit watery. Score: 16 Jancis Robinson MW, Jancisrobinson.com Maturity: 2012-2017 |

Tasted at the UGC in London. The Batailley '07 has a subtle nose: blackberry, cedar, tobacco, wild hedgerow and a touch of briary. Good definition although it would benefit from more vigour. The palate is straight down the line, classic Pauillac with masculine, black fruit, a touch of black pepper, tobacco and cedar. Nice weight and cohesion, a little austere towards the leafy finish but good length. Fine. Score: 89 Neal Martin, erobertparker.com Maturity: 2010-2018 |
