Tasting Notes:

Medium-bodied, with silky tannins and a fresh finish. There's plenty of sweet fruit in this second wine. 100 percent Merlot.

Score: 88 - 91 James Suckling, Wine Spectator

Fine, fragrant with a lively freshness. Remarkably clean and balanced but without the density of the top wines. Drink 2014-2022. (15.5 points)

Score: 15 - 16 Decanter, Decanter.com Maturity: 2014-2022

This modestly-priced Pomerol is made from a separate vineyard adjacent to Eglise Clinet and incorporating fruit from the younger vines of this great property. Always one of the finest value Pomerols around. Ripe black fruits and cloves. Round and full-bodied with solid fruit, spicy complexity and light toast on the finish.

Score: 90 - 92 Albany Vintners

Picked on 28th September, this pure Merlot has a delightful, beautifully defined nose where the terroir of Pomerol shine through probably better than any other vintage of La Petite Eglise. The palate is well balanced, superb definition, taut and very natural, lovely blackberry, raspberry leaf and a touch of burnt toast towards the linear, but unreservedly elegant finish. Superb. Tasted April 2010.
