Medium to dark ruby-colored and sporting a nose of lively black fruits intermingled with spices, the 2002 Vosne-Romanee Les Hautes Maizieres is a concentrated, medium-bodied wine. Subtle oak aromas frame spicy black fruit notes and while this is rich and extremely pretty, it is decidedly firmer because of the late malo. Deep ruby-red. Musky, expressive aromas of black fruits, flowers and coffee. Suave, silky and sweet, with lovely volume leavened by the wine's juiciness and floral lift.
