A beautiful sleeper of the vintage from proprietor Alain Vauthier, this 2007 offers notes of spring flowers, blueberries, raspberries, and crushed rocks. Medium-bodied with beautiful balance, silky tannins, and low acidity, this lush wine should be drunk over the next decade. Score: 90 Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2010-2020 30 April 2010 |

Very dark, Very ripe indeed compared with most St-Émilions. Sweet and black cherries but without the extreme dryness on the finish that is so common in St-Émilion. A little dry but not disastrously so. Score: 16 Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com Maturity: 2012-2018 10 April 2008 |

This has a very attractive nose with some bright blackberry fruit, wild hedgerow and cassis. Very good definition and purity. The palate has a real brightness and succulence to it, very fine tannins, great purity and silkiness towards the finish. Feminine and wily. Succulent black cherries towards the finish. Excellent. Score: 89 - 91 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com 01 April 2008 |

Good colour. Subtle aromas of ripe berry fruit. Good purity of black cherries and a lovely mouthfeel. Complicating tar and cloves on the back. Good energy with a dry finish. Score: 89 - 91 Albany Vintners, - 01 April 2008 |

Crushed blackberry and licorice on the nose. Medium body, firm tannins and a silky-textured finish. A little more in the midpalate would give it more points. Score: 86 - 89 James Suckling, Wine Spectator 31 March 2008 |
