Medium ruby-red. Slightly medicinal aromas and flavors of black fruits, licorice and smoke. Fat, sweet and round, with plenty of inner-mouth smokiness and slightly tough tannins. Score: 88 Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar 01 May 2008 |

Has a beautiful nose of crushed blackberry and raspberry, with mineral undertones. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long, flavorful finish. The best in a long time from this estate. Best after 2012. 5,550 cases made. Score: 90 James Suckling, Wine Spectator 31 March 2008 |

This lower pedigree wine represents undeniable quality/value rapport in 2005. This vintage is so deep in quality among the better run, less heralded estates, that these wines should appeal to readers looking for terrific values from Bordeaux. Most of these wines are Merlot-based and will be drinkable young. Sleeper of the vintage. Score: 88 - 90 Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: N/A 01 April 2006 |
