Good deep black crimson. Very nicely balanced and evolved. Very complete. Lifted and beautifully balanced. Very fresh and precise. Not as concentrated as some vintages of this wine (almost light!) but lovely now. Score: 17 - 18 Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com Maturity: 2010-2025 29 March 2012 |

A deep ruby/purple color is accompanied by this property’s tell-tale cassis characteristics. Medium-bodied and monolithic, with fine ripeness as well as depth along with light to moderate tannin in the finish, the 2001 Grand-Puy-Lacoste should be at its peak between 2006-2014. Score: 88 Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2006-2014 30 June 2004 |
