White wine of the vintage, huge depth, makes you want to stop and tell your friends. Citrus, slate, nuanced green apple, white pear, citrus, sage and gunsmoke, all beautifully drawn out through the palate, gorgeous depths from first to last moment, an impressive white that rises vertically. Harvest September 3 to 13. 44% new oak, with lees stirring once a week. 30hl/h yield because some vines impacted by frost. Jean-Philippe Delmas estate director. Score: 98 Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2024-2034 21 February 2024 |

The 2021 Haut-Brion Blanc was very impressive from barrel. Now in bottle, it has a complex, finely delineated bouquet with dried white flowers and a touch of beeswax percolating through the green apple and Conference pear aromas. The palate is quite harmonious and tensile, full of energy and focused, with a dab of stem ginger popping up on the finish. There’s real sustain on the close here—a superb Haut-Brion Blanc. Score: 96 Neal Martin, Vinous.com Maturity: 2030-2060 01 December 2023 |

The 2021 Haut-Brion Blanc has a wonderful bouquet of white peach, yellow plum, kumquat and white flower scents that opens beautifully in the glass, displaying lovely definition. The palate is very well balanced with a killer line of acidity that perfectly counterbalances the intense citrus fruit. Razor-sharp, more than any vintage that I have tasted in recent years. I often think that this is overrated at primeur, but the 2021 is undeniably a showstopping Haut-Brion Blanc. Score: 96 - 98 Neal Martin, Vinous.com Maturity: 2030-2060 13 May 2022 |

The 2021 Haut-Brion Blanc is dense, powerful and explosive. Even so, I suspect it, like the other 2021 whites in the Clarence Dillon stable, is going through a closed phase. The textural richness and volume are evident, though. Slate, crushed rocks, citrus peel, white pepper and mint all come alive in the glass. Sauvignon Blanc energy drives the aromatics and an overall feel of tension, while the mid-palate richness of the 55% Sémillon is felt in the resonating breadth of the finish. Score: 96 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com Maturity: 2026-2041 01 November 2023 |

A wine of tremendous stature and breed, the 2021 Haut-Brion Blanc possesses tremendous vertical energy allied to a feeling of structure that could easily be confused with that of a red wine. Lemon confit, marzipan, dried flowers and mint develop as the 2021 shows off its creaminess and breadth. The 2021 is an absolutely stunning wine by any measure.
