A flamboyant display of smoky oak, buttered peach and caramelized pineapples and orange marmalade notes are impressive. On the palate, the wine exhibits a multi-dimensional, textured, full-bodied style with terrific fruit, depth, and some toasty oak in the background. This is a big, blockbuster style of Sauternes to drink over the next 20-25 years. Score: 92 Robert Parker, Wine Advocate Maturity: 2009-2034 |

Rich and structured, showing honey and spice. Full-bodied, with medium sweetness. Tight, firm and long. Score: 92 - 94 James Suckling, Wine Spectator |

Sweet lime sherbet with bitter orange notes. Lots of power, sweetness and richness. Some notes of green vegetation on the very back palate but overall a good debut for the new regime. Just a bit hard and green on the finish. Score: 17 Jancis Robinson MW, Jancisrobinson.com Maturity: 2013-2022 |

Good bright, medium gold. Slightly swampy, resiny nose seems blocked by SO2 today. Then chewy and expressive on the palate, with bright acids framing the flavors of peach nectar, orange rind and clove. In an opulent style, but finishes quite firm, with very good spicy persistence. This needs a few years to harmonize. (89+ points) Score: 89 Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar |

Tasted with a negotiant. Undoubtedly one of my favourite Sauternes in 2006, juxtaposed against the 2005 I think this is better. The nose takes some coaxing but eventually reveals a delectable bouquet of honey and white flowers. The palate has a crisp entry, a good level of botrytis with racy acidity. Very harmonious with notes of tangerine, honey and a touch of apricot on the mid-palate. Nice fatness to it and impressive length. Excellent. Tasted March 2007.
