Tasting Notes

In general, the 2019s show more finesse than their counterparts from 2020, as is the case with the 2019 Bonarda Single Vineyard El Barranco from a vineyard in Junín, a classical zone of Mendoza for the grape. It has elegant rusticity, earthiness and dusty tannins, coming through as varietal, juicy and tasty. 7,500 bottles were filled in June 2021.

This has an intense nose of blue and dark fruit, dried lavender, clay, oyster shell, dried chili and burnt sage. Lemon zest, too. Medium-bodied with firm, polished tannins. Focused and driven. Try in 2024.
