In general, the 2019s show more finesse than their counterparts from 2020, as is the case with the 2019 Bonarda Single Vineyard El Barranco from a vineyard in Junín, a classical zone of Mendoza for the grape. It has elegant rusticity, earthiness and dusty tannins, coming through as varietal, juicy and tasty. 7,500 bottles were filled in June 2021. Score: 92 Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2022-2027 30 November 2022 |

This has an intense nose of blue and dark fruit, dried lavender, clay, oyster shell, dried chili and burnt sage. Lemon zest, too. Medium-bodied with firm, polished tannins. Focused and driven. Try in 2024. Score: 94 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com Maturity: 2024+ 01 March 2022 |
