The fruit here is savoury, held in by firm but overly austere tannins that need to soften further over ageing. A reliable 40ha estate owned by CA Grands Cru, with a slow 31hl/h yield. Score: 87 Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2026-2038 11 May 2022 |

The 2021 Grand Puy Ducasse has a tight, backward nose at first, unfolding to offer tobacco-infused black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannins, modest depth, fine acidity and a slightly rustic finish. Not bad considering the vintage. Score: 89 - 91 Neal Martin, Vinous.com Maturity: 2027-2040 01 May 2022 |

The 2021 Grand Puy Ducasse is another strong showing from a château that has made important strides of late. Deep and savory, the 2021 offers up a host of strong Cabernet Sauvignon inflections to complement its dark-fleshed fruit. Bright saline notes bring it all together on the deep, structured finish, adding notable energy and vibrancy. Tasted two times. Score: 92 - 94 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com Maturity: 2031-2061 01 May 2022 |

An attractive wine, the 2021 Grand-Puy-Ducasse exhibits aromas of dark berries, sweet plums, cedar wood and warm spices. Medium-bodied, deep and layered, it's impressively serious and structured, with bright acids, powdery tannins and a penetrating finish. Under the direction of Anne Le Naour, this 40-hectare estate is seeing significant investments, and the results are really beginning to show. Tasted three times. Score: 90 - 92 William Kelley, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com 29 April 2022 |
