Tasting Notes

A perfumed, airy and decidedly cool nose speaks of a wide range of floral nuances, in particular acacia blossom and rose petal, along with citrus, hazelnut and a whiff of wet stone. The chiseled, refined and delicate flavors possess a lilting mouth feel while the lingering finish dances across the palate. This is textbook Tillets and a wine of grace and finesse that could be enjoyed young.

Quite delicate on the nose but rich and mealy on the palate, more harmonious than the Clos du Cromin at the moment. Juicy and direct and with great freshness and length. (JH)

Bottling next week. Pure clear colour with a very engaging vibrant hillside nose, lots of energy, fresh fruit, juicy fruit, energy, tingling finale. This will not develop into a nutty Meursault later on, it is the antithesis of Javillier’s Clos du Cromin, but a beautiful wine in its own style. Tasted: October 2018

Score: 91
