The 1989 reveals the super-ripe, plum and black fruit character of the vintage. It is a surprisingly intense and extracted wine, with a good amount of tannin in the finish, and an alcohol level of 13-13.5%. It is one of the most impressive wines I have tasted from this vineyard. Anticipated maturity: 1993-2000. Score: 85 Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 1993 - 2000 28 February 1993 |
