Another ripe yet also elegant wine from this team, the 2019 Cornas Domaine De Saint Pierre has plenty of red and almost blue fruits as well as classic Cornas peppery herbs, earth, and meatiness. Balanced, medium to full-bodied, and already textured and approachable, it's going to need just short-term cellaring and keep for 10-12 years with no issues. Vibrant blackberry, cherry and floral pastille aromas are complicated by suggestions of exotic spices and smoky minerals. Penetrating, appealingly sweet black/blue fruit flavors gain weight and spiciness as the wine opens up.
