Gevrey Chambertin VV 2019

(from a wide mix of Brochon vines planted between 1922 and 1961 that average 60+ years of age) A cooler and more restrained nose reluctantly offers up its notes of dark berries, game and newly turned earth. There is even better volume to the sappy and suave medium-bodied flavors that flash focused power on the balanced and lingering finish that displays only a touch of rusticity. Lovely. I would note that Geantet consistently does well with their Gevrey villages wines and they did so again in 2019.
