Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru 2019

Structured and firm, at first blush this is not what you'd think of as Chambolle.This parcel of 50-year-old vines, planted in stony soils, is often assembled with grapes from Les Sentiers to make a Chambolle Premier Cru, but here we taste it on its own. There is a bit of the floral-scented Chambolle perfume, but the real character of the village is seen in the silky texture and soft finish on the palate. - Charles Curtis MW
