From vineyards exposed to the southeast and northeast as the slope wraps around to the valley of La Petite Combe, the stony soils deliver fresh, spicy fruit, with a mix of red and black berry characters, a suggestion of violets and very polished tannins, with none of the rustic character Pommard can have.
