Reduction and wood make for a pungent introduction to the bigger and richer medium-bodied flavors that are not particularly complex but they are refreshing and persistent. If more depth develops with a few years of bottle age this should merit the upper end of my projected range. Score: 87 - 90 Allen Meadows, Burghound 10 January 2019 |

Pretty aromas of raspberries, dried flowers and candied peel introduce the 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Village, is a medium-bodied, succulent wine with a juicy core of fruit, light structuring tannins and a saline finish. Score: 87 - 89 William Kelley, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com 04 January 2019 |

The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Village is quite unassuming on the nose, at first, before gently unfolding with undergrowth-tinged red fruit and subtle pressed flower scents. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine line of acidity, a little fleshy towards the finish with lightly spiced red fruit. Moderate length. Drink over the next 5 to 7 years. Score: 88 Neal Martin, Vinous.com 01 January 2019 |
