Tasting Notes

There is a curious hint of lactic character so I would suggest decanting this if you're going to try a bottle young. Otherwise the refined, reserved and beautifully textured flavors possess first-rate power, intensity and detail while delivering very fine persistence on the balanced finish. This doesn't quite have the same underlying material as the best in the range but it is certainly a MdT of refinement and class.

Pale yellow. Aromas of lemon, chalk and fresh porcini, plus a whiff of iodine. Very tight and firmly built, showing penetrating stoniness enlivened by lemony energy. Finishes with explosive length and outstanding lift. An infant today, this wine should blossom in the bottle and evolve slowly.
