Vosne Romanee Beaux Monts 1er Cru 2016

Healthy dark red. Very ripe, almost roasted nose shows a distinct chocolatey character plus a strong element of sweet oak; this wine needs to be racked into an older barrel. Slightly liqueur-like and savory but at the same time clenched, with some spiky acidity making it hard to taste today. Finishes quite dry, even sour.
