The 2015 Gracia has a really lovely, quite sensual bouquet with pure black cherry and cassis fruit beautifully enmeshed with the new oak. The palate is medium-bodied with a little hardness on the entry. There is a fine seam of acidity, gaining volume toward the intense, spicy finish that manages to retain sufficient freshness and tension to pull this 2015 off with style. Along with Valandraud, this is a garagiste that is building a track record.

Blended of 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in 100% new French oak barrels for 15 to 20 months, the deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Gracia rocks up with an audacious nose of crème de cassis, chocolate box, blueberry compote and plum preserves with touches of charcuterie, scorched earth and yeast extract. Full-bodied, rich and firm in the mouth, its power wears a compellingly plush frame with a lively backbone and an epically long, savory and spice-laced finish.

There’s a very fresh and expressive feel to the nose here. It has a wealth of spiced blueberries and fresh violets. The palate delivers immense concentration of ripe dark plums and black cherries, while the oak sits nicely. Very regal finish. Try from 2022.

Dark, plush and exotic, the 2015 Gracia shows off the most extravagant side of Saint-Émilion. Dark cherry, chocolate, leather, spice and menthol effortlessly fill out the wine's dense frame. The 2015 has turned out beautifully and is a great example of modern Saint-Émilion at its best. The blend is 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
