100% Pinot Noir, blend of seven vintages . 85% in oak. Malo 70% blocked. Dosage 4 g/l. Disgorged December 2015. Light nose. Then it seems quite sweet on palate entry - surprising in view of the low dosage. Chunky. Big palate impact. Quite chewy. (made from fruit grown in Ambonnay; L0913): Light yellow. Poached pear, chamomile, sweet butter and toasty lees on the deeply scented nose. Picks up a spicy nuance with air, which adds lift to the ripe orchard fruit and candied fig flavors. In a powerful style but not lacking for vivacity. Finishes toasty and long, with a hint of grilled nuts and very good length. I also tasted the same wine from Lot L0912 and found it somewhat weightier and spicier.
