This is an excellent wine from Beaumont, a property sandwiched between the famous appellations of Pauillac and Margaux. Their 2005 has attractive plum, black cherry and blackcurrant fruit dominating the nose along with medium body, soft tannins and a round, juicy mouthfeel. Drinkable now, this wine should continue to offer delicious consumption over the next 4-5 years. Score: 87 Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2015-2020 30 June 2015 |

Fruity and refined, with berry, tobacco and mineral character. Good wine this year. May be another 2000? Tasted twice, with consistent notes. Score: 85 - 88 James Suckling, Wine Spectator 01 April 2006 |

Deep and purplish. Sweet, opulent, heady purple fruits. Great sweetness and opulence. This is a wine punching way above its weight. Lovely completeness and attack with no tarty sweetness on the finish. Score: 16 Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com Maturity: 2010-2018 01 April 2006 |
