Deep, rich and concentrated, with lots of black fruits, smoked herbs, chocolate and minerality, the 2015 Cornas is medium to full-bodied, structured and tannic, yet also packed with fruit. It will need cellaring. An estate that has come on like gangbusters over the past decade is Stephane Robert’s Domaine du Tunnel, and today they’re up there with the crème de la crème of the appellation. He's made beautiful wines in both 2014 and 2015. Score: 91 - 93 Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com 30 December 2016 |

Inky ruby. Smoke-accented aromas of fresh blackberry, violet and black pepper, and a vibrant mineral touch that builds in the glass. Juicy and sharply focused, offering energetic black and blue fruit flavors and a deeper licorice nuance. The peppery quality comes back on the clinging finish, which is shaped by smooth, harmonious tannins. Score: 90 - 93 Josh Raynolds, Vinous.com 01 March 2016 |
