Batard Montrachet 2015

(from a parcel measuring .10 ha in Chassagne). There is enough wood to merit pointing out framing the notably ripe yet fresh aromas of various white orchard fruit, lavender, lemon and discreet spice elements. There is outstanding size, weight and richness to the broad-shouldered yet reasonably refined flavors that brim with dry extract on the lingering finish that isn’t as complex as it usually is. Again, more depth will almost certainly develop but I have my doubts that it’s going to be enough to elevate this to the next level.
