A good wine, with tobacco, milk chocolate and berry character. Medium-bodied, with integrated tannins and a fruity finish. Delicious already. Best after 2009. Score: 86 James Suckling, Wine Spectator Maturity: 2009+ 01 April 2008 |

(70% merlot, 20% cabernet sauvignon and 10% franc) Good deep red-ruby. Aromas of chocolate and currant jam. Very sweet and ripe, with strong red fruit flavors complemented by a suggestion of chocolate liqueur. As ripe as this Lalande de Pomerol is, though, it avoids pruniness. Finishes ripe and persistent. Score: 86 - 89 Stephen Tanzer, Vinous.com 01 May 2006 |

A good value Pomerol lookalike from Denis Durantou, the celebrated winemaker of Eglise Clinet. 50% Merlot, 50% Cabernet Franc. Sweetly ripe berries on the nose with more sweet and silky fruit on the palate and hints of toffee and smoke. This will be lovely drinking early on. Score: - Albany Vintners, - 01 January 1900 |
