The reduction is sufficient to suppress all but discreet citrus nuances that can also be found on the impressively rich and generous medium-bodied flavors that possess a very classy mouth feel, all wrapped in a sappy, delicious and reasonably well-balanced finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. This plump and forward effort should drink well almost immediately yet age for a few years too. Score: 90 - 92 Allen Meadows, Burghound Maturity: 2020+ 15 June 2016 |

(production was cut 30% by hail; from vines planted in 1992): Pale, green-tinged yellow. White peach and lime aromas are complicated by licorice and smoke. Fat, rich and sweet, with the musky lime quality carrying through on the palate. Could use a bit more shape but this chewy wine has good material and potential. Score: 90 - 92 Stephen Tanzer, Vinous.com 01 September 2015 |
