The 2015 Bourgneuf has a backward nose that demands some coaxing from the glass: broody, tertiary black fruit laced with bay leaf and cedar. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin, fresh black fruit bisected by a keen line of acidity and feeling a little pointed on the finish when I would like just a tad more flesh. Yet I admire the tension here, and I have a feeling that it will repay bottle age. Score: 91 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2021-2038 01 March 2018 |

The 2015 Château Bourgneuf has a crisp and quite earthy, blackberry and briary scented bouquet that just needs to coalesce during its élevage. The palate is medium-bodied with steely tannin, quite pointed acidity, fresh in the mouth with moderate weight, hints of licorice surfacing towards the linear finish. Note that a second sample at JP Moueix showed more elegance and poise on the velvety finish. Give this 3-5 years in bottle. The 2015 Bourgneuf is composed of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, featuring a medium garnet-purple color and aromas of smoked meats, black truffles, tapenade and charcoal with a fruity core of black and red cherries, plum preserves and blueberry coulis plus a waft of aniseed. Medium to full-bodied, delicately structured and with lively fruit expression, it finishes on an earthy note. Impressive fresh violets and earthy notes with ripe dark plums. Leads to a very rich palate with ripe dark cherries, mulberries and boysenberries. Smooth tannins exude suave polish, and there's terrific fleshy appeal into the finish. All class. Try from 2022. Score: 95 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com 02 February 2018 |

A super velvety textured red with a freshness and coolness. Full body, ultra-balanced and a savory finish. Super. Mostly merlot with a touch of cabernet franc. Score: 94 - 95 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com 01 April 2016 |

The 2015 Bourgneuf is a plump, juicy Pomerol that will drink well upon release. Pliant and expressive, with silky tannins, the 2015 offers plenty of forward fruit, but in a super-classic, mid-weight frame. Tobacco, mint and crushed flowers add layers of nuance. Although not the last word on complexity, the 2015 is really quite lovely and delicious. Tasted two times. Score: 90 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com Maturity: 2018-2030 01 February 2018 |

The 2015 Bourgneuf is ripe, racy and succulent, all qualities that give it considerable near and medium-term appeal. Sweet red stone fruit, mint, anise and wild flowers flesh out on the succulent, inviting finish. The Bourgneuf is an attractive, mid-weight Pomerol with lovely freshness. The blend is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Tasted two times. Score: 88 - 90 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com 01 April 2016 |

Saturated with fig flavors, showing boysenberry and black currant compote notes. Ganache and tobacco accents fill in the finish, giving this a gutsy profile. Best from 2020 through 2030. Score: 92 James Molesworth, Wine Spectator Maturity: 2020-2030 10 January 2018 |

A flattering wine in the making, with a velvety feel from start to finish, offering warm plum, blueberry and boysenberry fruit that cascades through the finish. Features a healthy dose of toast, but everything is integrated and the fruit will win out easily when the élevage is done. Score: 91 - 94 James Molesworth, Wine Spectator 01 April 2016 |

Managed by the Moueix team, the 2015 Château Bourgneuf offers a darker, earthier style in its ripe black fruits, tobacco, earth, and underbrush scented bouquet. This gives way to a medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated Pomerol that has ripe tannin and plenty of length. Drink this total charmer anytime over the coming decade or so. Well-situated next to the vineyards of Trotanoy and Eglise Clinet, on clay, sand and gravel soils. A traditionally tannic style of Pomerol, the emphasis is now on more roundness to the wine. The 2015 displays high-toned aromas of black cherry, raspberry and violets. Smooth and ripe with an appealing texture in the middle and ripe structured tannins on the finish. Score: 90 - 92 Albany Vintners, - 27 April 2016 |

Very dark. Lifted, fragrant, not one of the most intense but nicely balanced. Racy and toasty. Not perhaps absolutely top rank but not forced. (17- Points) Score: 17 Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com Maturity: 2022-2034 01 April 2016 |

New generation at the helm and showing constant progression. Rich and complex on the nose. The palate is round and full but also fresh and harmonious, with fine tannins and a long finish. Will offer value. Score: 91 Decanter, - 01 April 2015 |
