Inviting ripe black fruits on the nose with a hint of vanilla. Quite elegant with a silky mouthfeel and fine tannins. Nicely concentrated with sweet black cherry fruit at the centre with toasted oak and cocoa powder leading to a pleasant finish. A lovely 2010 that is drinking now and over the next decade. This has ripe fruit, but takes a more charming approach, offering flavors of cherry preserves and cassis, with flecks of spice, wrapped with a supple licorice note and nicely integrated apple wood character.
