Pommard La Levriere VV

A top-tier burgundy domaine has earned cult status on the other side of the Atlantic and is classed with DRC, Rousseau, Roumier and Leroy by the Revue du Vin de France. Bernard Dugat, cousin of Claude, makes small quantities of concentrated wines from very old vines (aged 70 years). "If you can find the wines, they are most impressive. It pays to remember however that the Dugat-Py wines are built for the very long haul and it is largely pointless to open them young." Allen Meadows - Burghound.
