Beausejour (Duffau)

Beausejour (Duffau) Previously known as Beausejour Duffau, Beausejour is a small estate of just 6.8h. Stunning wines in 1990 & 2009 & 2010 achieved the perfect 100 point scores and show the potential at one of St Emilion's finest terroirs: Robert Parker noted: "In terms of potential, the vineyard is exceeded only by Ausone, Pavie and Belair for micro-climate and exposition." Since 2021 the estate is now being revitalised under the leadership of Josephine Duffau-Lagarrosse (9th generation winemaker). Having worked in Napa, New Zealand, Burgundy (Domaine Georges Noellat) & Mexico as well as Bordeaux, her experiences have shaped her winemaking style emphasising observation, minimal intervention & a deep respect for the estate's limestone plateau terroir (with plot by plot vinification). Beausejour is making pure, vibrant and expressive wines that stand out from the rest.
