Dome
From a tiny plot of low-yielding old vines situated between Angelus and Grand Mayne, the first vintage of Le Dome was 1996. Similar in style to Cheval Blanc with a large proportion of low yielding, old vine Cabernet Franc (50+ years) and about one quarter Merlot. Annual production is just 900 cases, aged in new oak barriques for 16 months. Ripe, smooth and very concentrated.
