Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2016

Wine Spectator Top 100.jpg
Every year since 1988, U.S. publication The Wine Spectator publishes their Top 100 wines of the year.  This is their choice of the most exciting wines of 2016 based on wines bottled and physically available during the year.  Over 18,000 wines were blind tasted and ranked with the judges prioritising quality, value and availability.  The Top 10 is revealed here and features two Bordeaux Whites, one Piedmont, four from California, two from Oregon and one of the original super-Tuscans, Tignanello 2013.

Tignanello offers great value compared to the other famous 'Super Tuscans', Sassicaia, Ornellaia and Masseto (although Masseto is obviously much smaller production).  We can currently offer the last four vintages of this highly collectible wine at keen market prices - it is worth noting that Tignanello 2010 has risen in value by around 60% over the last 3 years with some merchants now offering it at £900+ per case.
