"Domaine de la Pousse d’Or is an estate that is really conjuring up some quite marvelous wines these days.... Pousse d’Or tend to be more opulent with sweeter fruit, weightier and you might argue more modern in style, though not in a negative sense" Neal Martin

We are very pleased to offer the 2014s from Domaine Pousse d'Or, one of the most beautiful estates in Burgundy, situated in the south of the village of Volnay.  With very good scores and notes from Allen Meadows and Neal Martin, these are well worth securing!

"The Volnay Clos des 60 Ouvrées would be my personal pick. The Grand Crus are deeply impressive, including a quite mesmerizing Clos de la Roche" Neal Martin

The Volnay 60 Ouvrées is a monopoly within the Caillerets Premier Cru area - a wonderfully silky, refined wine, archetypally Volnay, the 2014 scores 93 pts from Allen Meadows and MW Tim Atkins, a must-buy!  This wine has received more awards than any other wine from the region: the International Wine Challenge awarded the 2010 vintage Gold, Trophy and the 2009 vintage Gold, Trophy. Bousse d'Or is more masculine and stuctured wine, whilst the small production 1er Cru Clos d'Audignac, the domaine's 0.80-hectare monopole is more floral and perfumed, with wonderful delicacy.
