This Domaine is a new exciting find for us - Jean Michel Guillon is a passionate winemaker who takes Rousseau, Dugat-Py and Denis Bachelet as his inspiration to make rich, impressive Burgundieswhich, to quote Allen Meadows "retain a clear sense of style and grace and remain identifiably pinot noir".

  • Attention to detail in the vineyard and vinification are scrupulous with yields kept low to produce the best fruit, and 100% of the finest new oak.
  • Jean-Michel has also introduced meticulous practices such as whole cluster fermentation to emphasise the purity of the fruit.
  • These are fleshy, supple, robust wines that offer serious value for money and will provide much drinking pleasure.
 
We are delighted to offer a limited number of specially assembled 6-bottle taster cases containing 2 bottles each of the single vineyard Gevrey Pere Galland, Gevrey VV and Gevrey 1er Cru Champonnets.  The Pere Galland is a fantastic wine with lots of dense red fruit and minerals; silky balanced and drinking beautifully now, this wine is fantastic value. There is more volume and concentration to the Gevrey Vieilles Vignes; packed with rich cherry fruit this wine has great structure and complexity.  The richly fruited Gevrey 1er Cru Champonnets has wonderful lift and class, great minerality and intense fruit and spice.

These are delicious Pinots, which we can very highly recommend.  We are offering free delivery on these cases for a limited time (UK mainland only).
