We are delighted to offer the newly released, eagerly awaited 2006 Dom Perignon - one of the most sought-after luxury cuvee champagnes in the world. Only a small amount has been released onto the market this morning with a select group of merchants and at a special introductory price. We are pleased to have been selected and to be able to offer now at £910 per 12 bottles under bond.
 
  • Dom Perignon is only made in vintages the house deems exceptional and 2006 is the fifth successive vintage - unprecedented in the history of the label.  A good decision considering that this is an auspicious age for the house and could rank among the greats, the golden 1920's and 1960's.

2006 is compared to the legendary 2002 for its aromatic ripeness. Of the five successive vintages the 2006 seems to be most comparable to the 2002 in terms of structure and minerality. It is certainly is a collectors champagne that will reward patience and sit proudly among the finest most recent vintages made.

"The immediate impression is of the mildness of the pure, airy, bright bouquet.  A floral, fruity pastel tone then unfolds and quickly darkens into candied fruit, ripe hay and toasted notes, along with hints of licorice.  The wine's opulence - contained and succulent, round at heart - reveals itself in the mouth.  The envelope slides and stretches, and the wine becomes more complex and edgy, silkier than it is creamy.  The whole eventually melts into an exquisite bitterness tinged with the briny taste of the sea."
