A strong En Primeur favourite year in, year out is Domaine de Chevalier Rouge, now available at £325 per 12. A sensible pricing policy on release along with the undoubted quality makes this one to follow.  This is top quality wine with Graves smokiness and complexity, and it has to be said, at a better price than Smith Haut Lafitte or Pape Clement, also now out at £480 per case.  There seems to be an effort made at Pape Clement to move away from the high-toast, concentrated style of 10 years ago in favour of more elegance, a move still appreciated by critics with the 2012 recently scoring 97 points (£540 per case).

We can also offer the impressive dry whites wines Domaine de Chevalier Blanc at £585 per 12 and Pape Clement Blanc at £850 per 12.

Chateau Clinet is released at £425 per case making it the cheapest vintage of Clinet available in the market.   Decadently ripe in style, Clinet is a blockbuster Pomerol that sometimes hits the magic 100 points (1989 & 2009).  Along with Chateau Gazin, this is a Pomerol that is well worth picking up on release.

Branaire Ducru is released this morning at £285 per case.  This is good St Julien situated opposite the better-known and more expensive Beychevelle.  Here the winemaking focus on fruit and finesse, but the 2012 is available slightly cheaper (£270) and is similar in quality.

Released this afternoon is St Julien Super Second Leoville Poyferre at £425 per case, the same price as Leoville Barton. 92-95 points from Antonio Galloni "without question one of the stars of the vintage".
