Always eagerly anticipated, we are pleased to offer the latest releases from New Zealand's iconic Cloudy Bay.  Cloudy Bay is hugely popular throughout the world and especially in the UK - famed for producing crisp, vibrant, refreshing Marlborough Sauvignon with bracing flavour.

As well as the flagship Sauvignon Blanc and the highly sought after barrel-fermented Te Koko, we can also offer for the first time the estate's elegant Pinot Noir (93pts James Suckling) and crisp Chardonnay - worthy additions to any cellar.

Cloudy Bay SB 2012 BottleThis is the 30th release of the estate's Sauvignon Blanc, the wine that brought the Marlborough region to the World's attention.
  
Winemaker Note - "Our 2014 Sauvignon Blanc is a definitive expression of the region and its season. Appealing concentration and poise suggests a wine with the ability to age. The nose is bright with aromas of kaffir lime, grapefruit and cactus. A generous palate reveals ripe citrus, stonefruit and lemongrass flavours balanced by crunchy acidity. Perhaps the hallmark of this vintage is its persistent finish rich with minerality."

Cloudy Bay Te Koko 2011100% Sauvignon Blanc and fermented using wild yeast, it is allowed to undergo a slow natural 'wild' fermentation in French oak giving it intriguing smokey notes that are more usually associated with Chardonnay.  Te Koko is always in strong demand and there are few that can compare.

"This white shows fantastic slate, dry stone and earth character with licorice, aniseed and steel undertones. It's full-bodied with bright acidity and an incredible depth of flavor. Subtle dried tropical fruit character such as green papaya and mangos too. Goes on for minutes. Drink or hold."

CLoudy Bay Pinot NoirIn 2012 the cool growing season and naturally low yields helped to produce fruit of outstanding balance and flavour. 

 

93 points, James Suckling "A pinot noir that is subtle and complex with dried strawberry, cedar, nut and light meat character. Full to medium body with hints of chocolate, wet earth and mushroom. Such balance and finesse here. Screw cap. Drink now."
