Calon Segur (£370/cs) is a favourite St Estephe of many of our clients and we enjoyed the wine this year. From the same team, Capbern Gasqueton (£120/cs) is one of the bargains of the vintage. This is really delicious; bright red fruit on the palate, opulent, good weight and minerality and a vibrant finish.
Chateau Canon (£370/cs), from the same owners as Rauzan Segla, has seen large investment in recent years. Sensibly priced, this is good value traditional elegant St.Emilion.
2013 is an excellent vintage for Sauternes, reflected by some very good scores. We can now offer a couple of our favourites; Doisy Daene (£295/cs) and the always excellent value Doisy Vedrines (£225/cs).

HAUT BAILLY - £440 per case/12 IB.
"A firm and juicy wine with dried berry, sweet tobacco and cedar character. Medium to full body, with fine tannins and a pretty finish. Iodine. 64% cabernet sauvignon, 34% merlot and 2% cabernet franc. Tiny production." 91-92 James Suckling

DOISY VEDRINES - £225 per case/12 IB. Great value. This ever-popular Barsac, situated near Climens and Coutet, has received some great reviews this year.
