'wines of first growth quality....under-valued and very smart acquisitions' Robert Parker
Robert Parker recently singled out Pontet Canet as one of his 'Magical 20' for his Hong Kong tasting in November stating: "I have chosen estates that produce wines of first growth quality, although technically not first growths. Consequently, they are under-valued and very smart acquisitions".
Nicknamed 'Monsieur Bonsai' for his unerring attention to detail in the vineyard and cellar, Alfred Tesseron has achieved truly remarkable things here and it is arguably the Chateau that has enjoyed the most dramatic transformation over the past decade. No less impressive is its recent record of producing wines of consistently brilliant quality "Enormous credit is due to proprietor Alfred Tesseron for turning things around at this estate in 1994, and continuing to produce first-growth level wines".
We are delighted to offer good quantities on a wide selection of Tesseron vintages all of which receive glowing praise from Parker.
